We’re thrilled to announce that Grass Hoppers Indoor & Outdoor Play, is coming to Otley Garden Centre - opening Summer 2026!

Following the huge success of our existing Grass Hoppers sites at Tong and Tingley, we’re excited to expand into North Leeds and bring even more fun for families to enjoy.

We’re busy bringing something really special to life at Otley Garden Centre and there’s a lot to be excited about. Big things are on the way, from amazing play features to fantastic family-friendly facilities.

What is Grass Hoppers?

Get ready for big adventures for little explorers, Grass Hoppers Play is opening this summer at Otley Garden Centre!

Designed especially for children under 10, Grass Hoppers is a safe, imaginative space where kids can climb, explore and let their creativity run wild.

Whether it’s burning off energy or enjoying a special day out, there’s something for every young adventurer.

    Indoor Play

    Step into Grass Hoppers at Otley Garden Centre this summer for indoor adventure whatever the weather. Packed with exciting slides, climbing challenges and imaginative play zones, it’s the perfect place for little explorers to let off steam.

    Children can race down the Racing Tube Slides, tackle the 4 Way Wavy Slide, climb through crawl tubes and rope bridges, and reach the Treehouse lookout at the top of the play frame. Exciting new zones include the Secret Hideout, Bee Hive Zone and Spider’s Lair add even more adventure, alongside fun challenges like the Tarzan Swing and Swing Ring Challenge.

    Younger visitors will love the dedicated Toddler Play Zone with soft play and a twin lane slide, while imaginative role play areas including a Fire Station, Post Office and Woody’s Kitchen bring creative play to life.

    Outdoor Play

    The fun continues outdoors, where little adventurers can climb, explore and enjoy fresh-air play in a safe and exciting environment.

    Designed to complement the indoor experience, the outdoor play area gives children even more space to burn off energy and enjoy active play during their visit.

    FAQs

    When will you open?

    We are due to open Summer 2026, follow us on social or signup to receive marketing emails to be the first to hear the latest news.

    What food and drink options will be available?

    Woody’s Kitchen is open with a menu of hot and cold food, light bites, drinks, and snacks. Please note we stop serving hot food 15 minutes before the end of each session.

    Can I bring a picnic?

    Yes, if you wish to bring your own food and drink, you can do so and enjoy this outside. However please remember that we do not allow glass or any other breakable crockery, alcohol and BBQ’s.

    Is there somewhere to sit?

    At Grass Hoppers, we offer a number of seating options both indoors and outdoors. Please note that during busy periods, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we may not be able to guarantee a table for all guests.

    Who supervises the children?

    Parents/guardians remain responsible for and must supervise the children in their care at all times. Whether inside or outside, children must be supervised by an adult over 18 years of age who is responsible for their care for the duration of your visit to Grass Hoppers. At no time can children be left in Grass Hoppers unattended.

    Grass Hoppers is an unsupervised play area. Adults must supervise children in their care at all times. We can accept no responsibility for any injuries or loss howsoever caused.

    Do you allow dogs?

    We don’t allow dogs in Grass Hoppers unless they are assistance dogs, and ask that they have a vest or identification which lets other visitors know they are working dogs.

    Dogs will continue to be allowed into Otley Garden Centre.

    Will you offer Birthday Parties?

    We will be offering Birthday party packages, please follow us on social or signup to email marketing to hear further information when available.

    Do you have any baby changing facilities?

    Grass Hoppers has men’s, women’s and accessible toilets. Baby changing facilities are available in both the men’s and women’s toilets.

    Is there parking nearby?

    Yes, Otley Garden Centre has a large car park with ample parking and an area close to the main entrance.
